Abstract

The properties of generalized metric spaces and covering mappings in these spaces are studied. Sufficient conditions for existence of coincidence points of covering and Lipschitz mappings acting in generalized matric spaces are obtained. These results are applied to investigate solvability of a certain type of functional equations.
