Moodle is a learning management system for electronic education. One of the features in Moodle is the design of tests for automatically testing students' knowledge in a controlled environment. Automatic testing is not suitable for mathematics because a student has to implement a computational procedure that requires a prolonged thinking process for every answer .

In this paper we discuss every aspect of creating tests for mathematics in Moodle such as the choice of types of questions, database size, number of questions per test, duration of the examination, giving negative points and others.
