Abstract
Modeling of singularities given by discontinuous functions or Schwartz distributions by means of Colombeau generalized functions has proved useful in many physical problems. In this paper results on product of distributions are derived. They are obtained in Colombeau differential algebra ${\mathcal{G}}\left({\mathbf{R}}\right)$ of generalized functions contains the space ${\mathcal{D}}'\left({\mathbf{R}}\right)$ of Schwartz distributions as a subspace, and has a notion of "association" that is a faithful generalization of the weak equality in ${\mathcal{D}}'\left({\mathbf{R}}\right)$.
